Subflood gets investment in Løvens Hule

Tahir med Underflod

It's been a remarkable journey for Underflod so far. From our first step with a vision to create circular and timeless products, to the night when we stood in front of the nation in Løvens Hule on DR1 and got an investment from Tahir.

We are Mads and Emil, the brothers behind Underflod, and our passion for the interior and furniture industry has driven us since we founded the company in 2021. Our mission has always been clear: To create products with a deeper responsibility, and to be at the forefront of the fight against overproduction and redundant use of materials. We do this by recycling materials from Funen recycling stations and waste from Danish companies. There is so much good and fine material that can be recycled to create new products. We believe that design, recycled materials and high quality can go hand in hand, thereby creating products that are both beautiful, but also functional and durable for many years.

A production where the heart and responsibility are paramount

When we started Underflod, we rented an old window workshop on Kærsgaard Estate. However, we had to admit that we are better designers than manufacturers. We therefore decided to outsource our production to someone who was more experienced and could make the products better than we could ourselves. We researched the market for local producers and chose to go with the correctional service and social economic workshops.

We are incredibly proud of our Danish production and the social responsibility we have incorporated into our business model. Our products are produced in the Danish prisons and the Odense Workshops, which not only ensures quality, but also provides meaningful everyday employment for the inmates and socially disadvantaged citizens.

The investment in Løvens Hule opens up new opportunities

Underflod has had great ambitions since its inception, and in order to achieve our goals, we therefore chose to stand in Løvens Hule. As the moment progressed in the episode of The Lion's Den, the tension intensified and the hopes higher. The faithful viewers know the outcome, which fortunately ended with us getting an investment from Tahir Siddique.

Getting an investment from Tahir in Løvens Hule has been a defining moment for us. It has not only given us financial resources, but also enormous confidence and a push forward in our company. With the new resources, we are ready to work purposefully to accelerate our ambitions and bring our visions to reality. We have many plans and dreams that are waiting to be made a reality.

A close collaboration with Tahir Siddique

We are deeply grateful for the trust and support we have received from Tahir. Tahir is the perfect match for Underflod, as we share many common values, while also having a common love for Odense. His insight and experience will continue to be invaluable to us as we continue our journey towards creating a more inclusive and responsible future within the furniture and interiors industry.

We are very much looking forward to continuing the exciting journey we are on with Tahir right now. We look to a future where we dream of setting an even stronger example for the entire industry. We want to be frontrunners in the fight against overproduction and work to promote a more circular way of thinking in the furniture and interior industry.
