Serving board for tapas
Serving boards for tapas and other dishes
Serving boards for tapas combine functionality, beautiful design, and durability, perfect for both everyday use and festive occasions.
A serving board can be used to serve tapas, charcuterie, or desserts. It is a very elegant way to present food, elevating the entire dining experience with a beautiful arrangement. A serving board can be used daily, for example, when serving bread with soup, or when hosting guests for dinner.
Wooden serving boards for tapas
At Underflod, we have produced our own wooden tapas boards. The wood is surplus material from the Danish furniture industry, making it leftover wood that would otherwise have gone to waste. This wood has not been treated with chemicals, making it perfect for serving boards, as they will be in direct contact with food.
The serving boards are produced in social workshops, so they can be used with a clear conscience, both for the climate and for the people who made them.
Since they are made of wood, you can also be sure that each serving board is completely unique, and no two are alike. The wood grain ensures a natural play of colors, giving the serving board a natural look.
Marble serving boards for tapas
We also have FÓLK's marble serving tray, which offers a different beautiful look than wood. This serving board comes in five different shades of marble, providing ample opportunity to choose the shade that best suits your home or kitchen.
The marble trays are made from surplus marble, another example of how surplus material can easily be transformed into a beautiful new product.
Serving board for tapas as a gift idea
A serving board makes a perfect gift idea. It suits both students who have just moved out and families who love to cook and host large dinner parties.
You can place a delicious glass of pesto and olives on top, or simply wrap the serving board as is. It will undoubtedly be well-received by anyone who enjoys good, well-presented food.
Serving board for tapas as a cutting board
The serving board can also be used as a regular cutting board, or for cutting cheese or fruit while arranging your tapas.
FAQ - About serving boards for tapas
How do you maintain a serving board?
Once you've finished eating tapas and are ready to clean the serving board, it's important not to put it in the dishwasher. The wooden serving board would absorb too much water and therefore change its appearance. The marble serving board cannot withstand high temperatures, and dishwasher detergents will alter its appearance.
Simply wipe it with a damp cloth or wash it in warm water with a mild dish soap.
To keep the wooden serving board looking beautiful for a long time, we recommend treating it with food-grade oil as needed. This maintains the beautiful color of the wood.
Can the serving board be used for hot dishes?
Yes, absolutely. For example, you could serve small tarts or a good piece of meat on the serving board. It is therefore very versatile, on par with a normal serving dish.
Can the serving board be used outdoors or on a picnic?
Yes, you can certainly use the serving boards if you want to eat on the terrace or balcony. It's a practical way to transport food. Similarly, you can easily take it on a picnic to give it a more elegant look.
Just be aware that you should bring the serving board indoors again, as they do not fare well in the rain.
