Every year, furniture that only has minor cosmetic flaws – and could have been used for many more years – is discarded. At many furniture manufacturers and companies, B-stock and prototypes gather dust – or are thrown out. This is often due to a lack of time, resources, or prioritization to deal with them.
We want to change that. We have collected furniture with minor flaws, traces from production, or discontinued collections and given them a new chance. Not as "cheap remnants" – but as the products they were created to be: well-crafted, usable, and valuable.
The minor signs of use that can be found on B-stock items are, in our opinion, far from enough reason to discard them. Our goal is to take responsibility for the resources that have already been used.
Underflod is the opposite of overconsumption – we are passionate about transforming existing materials into timeless products that last for generations and set a new standard for future furniture production.
