Wooden cutting board with juice groove
Wooden cutting board with juice groove from Underflod
At Underflod, we are proud of our No. 9 cutting board, which is available in both a small and a large model. The cutting board has a fine juice groove along the edge, which catches juice from food, preventing it from spilling onto the table.
Cutting board made of recycled wood with juice groove
Our vision is to create new products from existing materials. Therefore, all our cutting boards and tapas boards are made from recycled wood from the Danish furniture industry. This way, we create a beautiful and functional product from a material that would otherwise be discarded.
The production of our products takes place locally at social economic workshops in Denmark – so you can use the boards with a clear conscience.
Use a wooden cutting board with a juice groove for meat or vegetables
The clever juice groove of the cutting boards can catch all liquids. They are therefore ideal for a juicy piece of meat, such as a roast or a steak. It can also be used for juicy vegetables or fruits, such as tomatoes or melons.
No matter what food you cut on the board, you avoid juice spilling all over the table and creating a mess. Here, you simply need to wash the cutting board after cooking.
Small or large wooden cutting board with juice groove
The fine cutting board is available in two sizes and can thus meet every need. The small model is 25 cm x 35 cm, making it a perfect size for small everyday tasks. The large cutting board is 29 cm x 50 cm, making it ideal for larger cooking tasks.
If you want both boards, we have a set where they can be purchased together.
Wooden cutting board with juice groove on one side
The back of the board is completely smooth and can therefore be used for any kind of cooking or serving. The same applies to our grooved cutting boards, where one side is designed for cutting bread and collecting crumbs, while the back is perfect for fruit and vegetables.
Maintenance of wooden cutting boards with juice groove
It is important that the cutting board does not go into the dishwasher, as the board cannot withstand the high heat or the large amount of water. It should be washed by hand with mild soap and warm water, and after washing, it should be thoroughly dried and placed somewhere where it can dry further – for example, against a kitchen wall.
You can advantageously treat the board with oil as needed. We recommend using rapeseed or sunflower oil, as it does not stain the wood. If, on the other hand, you use olive oil, you risk the wood getting a dark color.
Use a wooden cutting board with juice groove as a serving board
The wooden board is ideal for serving. Use the side with the fine juice groove as a decorative detail, or the other side for a completely smooth and simple look. The cutting board can, for example, be used for tapas, desserts, or meat.
We also have two different types of tapas boards if you want a more classic look.
Make a wooden cutting board with juice groove an integrated part of the decor
The fine wooden cutting board gives a natural and elegant look to the room, so you can advantageously leave the board out, even when not in use. By decorating the kitchen with wood, the room gets a calm and coherent feel. Our Hermod serving tray has a wooden bottom, which perfectly matches the cutting boards.
