Chopping boards made from recycled oak
Our chopping boards have a unique history. All chopping boards are made from recycled oak from the Danish furniture industry. The materials come from cut-outs for sinks from countertop production, where the wood would otherwise be wasted. Instead, they get a new life as beautiful and functional oak chopping boards. The chopping boards are produced in social workshops, locally here in Denmark.
With a recycled chopping board from Underflod, you get a socially responsible product that focuses on reducing overproduction and waste, while being both beautiful and robust.
High-quality oak chopping boards
We never compromise on quality. Our chopping boards are made from carefully selected wood, ensuring durability for many years. They are treated with natural oil, making them dirt-repellent and easy to clean by hand. The timeless finish preserves the wood's beautiful glow, so the chopping board functions as both a practical kitchen tool and a decorative element.
Functional oak chopping boards for all purposes
All our chopping boards are designed with a focus on function and versatility. The chopping boards either have a grooved side for bread and/or a juice groove for meat, so crumbs and juice are collected, as well as a smooth side for chopping vegetables and other foodstuffs. The smooth side also makes them perfect as serving boards for tapas or other dishes. Our chopping boards combine practical function with a timeless expression that suits both modern and classic kitchens.
Wooden chopping boards are better for your knives
Knives do not fare well when used on plastic chopping boards, as it quickly dulls them. Wood, on the other hand, does not wear down knives as much, and they are a more aesthetic option, adding something beautiful and natural to the kitchen.
