Large Wooden Cutting Board for Everyday Use

A cutting board is an essential kitchen tool used to protect both your countertop and your knives when preparing food. By using a cutting board, you get a stable and hygienic surface for cutting everything from vegetables and bread to meat and fish.

By choosing a wooden cutting board, you provide a gentler surface for your knives, as wood does not wear down knives as much as, for example, glass or stone. A wooden cutting board is also a more durable choice, and with the right care, the board can last for many years.

A wooden cutting board is very beautiful and gives the kitchen a natural look - therefore, it can be left out when not in use, becoming a beautiful part of the decor instead of being hidden away in a cupboard or drawer.

Large Wooden Cutting Board for Bread

We have our No. 2 cutting board, which has a grooved side perfect for slicing bread, as it catches all the crumbs so they don't scatter across the table. Cutting boards come in both small and large models, suitable for everything from small rolls to large loaves of bread.

Large Wooden Cutting Board for Meat

Our No. 9 cutting board has a juice groove all the way along the edge. This makes it perfect for cutting or serving meat, as the groove catches all the juices from the meat, preventing them from running onto the table. This provides an easier and more hygienic cooking experience, as there's no juice all over the table. This cutting board is also available in both small and large models.

Large Wooden Cutting Board for Serving

Both the grooved cutting board and the one with juice grooves have a flat back, making them ideal for serving food. They are beautiful for tapas, desserts, and sushi – we also have various tapas boards if you prefer a more traditional look.

Large Cutting Board Made from Recycled Wood

All our cutting boards are made from offcuts produced during the manufacturing of kitchen countertops. The holes cut for sinks or stovetops are typically discarded, but by thinking more circularly, the excess wood can be transformed into beautiful and functional new products.

Our serving tray Hermod and knife holders are made from the same wood – ensuring nothing goes to waste.

How to Maintain a Wooden Cutting Board

A wooden cutting board will last longer and remain beautiful if properly cared for. Clean it with warm water and mild soap, dry it thoroughly, and avoid the dishwasher. Regularly oil it with, for example, sunflower or canola oil to ensure it stays beautiful. With proper care, the cutting board will remain hygienic, functional, and durable for many years.

FAQ - About Large Wooden Cutting Boards

What is the advantage of a large wooden cutting board?

Wooden cutting boards are both durable and gentle on your knives, as knife blades are not worn down as they can be when cutting on hard materials like glass or stone.

Choosing a large cutting board gives you great freedom and makes cooking easy and manageable – as you don't have to confine yourself to a small board.

Do cutting boards need to be maintained?

It is recommended to maintain cutting boards, as this will extend their lifespan and keep them beautiful.

Since the cutting boards are made of solid wood, they do not do well submerged in water for too long; therefore, we do not recommend washing the tapas board in the dishwasher. It should simply be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. You can treat the tapas board with cooking oil as needed.
