Our cutting boards have a unique history, as they are produced in social economy workshops locally in Denmark from recycled materials from Danish furniture production, more precisely offcuts from tabletop production. We use these cutouts as a starting point for our serving trays, but the pieces of wood left over from the cutouts for sinks are a perfect size for our cutting boards. With a grooved side, perfect for cutting bread, and a smooth side suitable for vegetables, it is a perfect cutting board.

The story of the No. 2 cutting board
Our cutting board has a truly unique story. It is produced locally in Denmark at social enterprises, using recycled wood from Danish countertop production. The cut-out parts are primarily used for our serving trays, but the remaining wood pieces from sink cut-outs are precisely the right size for our cutting boards.
The cutting board has a grooved side that is ideal for bread and catching crumbs, while the opposite side is smooth and suitable for vegetables. The surface is treated with natural oil, which makes the board dirt-repellent and easy to clean by hand, ensuring that its simple and timeless design retains its beautiful appearance for many years.
Our design process starts with taking leftover materials that are no longer used for their original purpose. Our task is to analyze the material's potential and explore how it can be transformed into a functional and value-creating product for our customers. This process takes place in collaboration with social workshops, where both the properties of the material and the skills of the employees at the social economic workshops are incorporated. The goal is to optimize the utilization of materials and promote human resources, creating added value on multiple levels.

How do I return?
If you regret your purchase or wish to return an item, you can do so within 14 days of delivery. The item must be in the same condition as when you received it, and all packaging and any additional accessories must be included. Please address the package to Underflod ApS and send it to our address: Brandts Passage 31E, 5000 Odense C (preferably choose delivery to the nearest parcel shop).

What is your delivery time?
For the vast majority of items, delivery is within 2-5 business days. For some items, delivery times may vary. This applies to items that are only produced once an order is placed, which is done to minimize overproduction.
What do I do if I receive a defective item?
