Description

A pendant lamp that combines Japanese and Nordic design

This pendant lamp from Motarasu has a unique structure that creates a play of light rays and shadow in any room. SEN means lines in Japanese, and the many bamboo strips, which are bent in their shape, create both beautiful lines and fascinating shadow patterns.

The design is based on the traditional Japanese technique of takesensuji, which is usually used to make insect cages and paper lanterns. The lamp is meticulously handcrafted in Japan by artist Tani Toshiyuki in collaboration with bamboo masters and consists of approximately 600 bamboo strips.

SEN is also available as a table lamp .
